For those who don't understand: When Licht inserted the last of the stones into that stone table he was able to cast a powerfull spell that bestowes the souls of his fallen elf friends upon magic knights.

Not sure why exactly those were chosen, maybe it has something to do with their blood lines, or they were just marked by Light in his Vangance mode.

Those cursed souls are pretty upset how they were harvested, and I also suspect they got the same trauma of Licht copied into their mind - turning them into mad killers
(despite of the fact that one of the episodes before shows how they actually used to be good guys).

i think the reason why those bodies were chosen was because it had the magic to suffice

I got one nice big problem with this anime and it’s the animation whenever it’s not an important moment such as yami doing a slash, it just looks so static and janky like it isn’t normal robotish and it’s alllllll the time, don’t get me wrong love the animation when it’s a big fight but binge watching this becomes a task because of the slideshow movements sometimes, just watch yami do any slash in this and tell me it’s not wacky asf

All nobles turned into Elves except for the Royals. Maybe there is something in their bloodline that prevents that so maybe that's why the Elves hate them. That also means that Yuno is also some Nobel's son and that's why he turned into an Elf. The whole damn Golden Dawn is made up of nobles so each and everyone of them would have probably turned into a Elf. Maybe that was the reason why only nobles could be members of the Golden Dawn after all, so that an instant Elf army could be made. Goshe, his sister and Luck were also nobles so they also turned into Elves.
That's quite the plan.
If all nobles could be turned into Elves then that means that if Julius was alive he probably would have turned into an Elf as well.

Yami has power equal to Nobles, but he doesn't seem to be effected either.
I suppose it's rather Nobles meeting the requirements for that mind control spell, with the exception of Royals. And Yami being from a alien country.
